Title: BF4 Competition Modes

Jim,  whats the story with BF4 for clan ladder play etc.  I see there is a spectator mode, will the game support restarts etc for clan matches?

Not sure specifically about server restarts (does BF3 not support it?). As far as I know there's a load of different admin tools used by different server providers, so there might be some difference between them. I can probably find out about that but in general I can't really talk about any details. They're trying to make competitive play a big part of BF4, they want to break into the esports scene properly. There's a dedicated Esports Producer, Daniel Matros, who used to be a community manager.

With BF3, the tools were severely limited, and caused no end of headaches for Dermot, I believe. We had a BF3 server starting off, but there was continuous fuckups with it, server side, lack of proper admin tools, so that didn't last long.
