Mouse lag ?
« on: March 08, 2010, 06:06:44 PM »
Anyone having mouse lag in multiplayer?
Its particularly noticeable when sniping long distances.
Its just not as smooth as other games.
As i say its not too bad under normal range but long range when you need the slightest adjustment for headsot it seems to just jump instead of a smooth input.
Im using my old favourite the MX510 mouse- wired.

Haven't noticed it myself, with a Razer DeathAdder.

Had it in the beta but the release version is significantly better. Then again, I don't snipe, so not a conclusive answer:/

Ok i changed to RenderAheadLimit=1 having previously tried setting to other settiings based on suggestions form tweak guides.
None mentioned setting to 1 however, just tried it and seems to have improved things.

While investigating this issue i realised my mx 510mouse has no windows 7 drivers :( could this be an issue?

Yeah i borrowed the brothers mx518 the other day to test out and instantly the lag was gone.
