To set up a shortcut on your desktop for TS to connect directly to the TiG channel do the following:
1) create a new shortcut
2) enter the following command: "C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2\TeamSpeak.exe" 193.120.123.138:8767/nickname=yournickname?channel=The Irish Guard?channelpassword=channel password"
3)this will bring you straight to the channel upon a double clicking of the shortcut.

this is because you haven't typed in the channel password yourself......I'm having the same problem myself, not too sure how to overcome this one though.
Ideas anyone?

I have typed in the channel password.Anyhow its still much better than searching through that list for the Tig channel everytime.

i had it working but then i couldn't get it to work such that i logged in as a TS admin so i went back to my double connection and TiG as default channel

Try this:
"C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2\TeamSpeak.exe" 193.120.123.138:8787/nickname=(_|_)?loginname=(_|_)?password=(_|_)?channel=Private?channelpassword=(_|_)"
Obviously you replace the wee bums with your parameters.
Ensure the teamspeak directory is perfect, checking for spelling errors in case you renamed it or something...
There's a space between the "C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2\TeamSpeak.exe" and the IP starting and the '?' is the seperator for each parameter.
The parameters and stuff are in the helpfile, so all you have to do is RtFM... :)

A nicer whay ( and one that works on a webpage )
teamspeak://193.120.123.138:8787/nickname=your_nick?loginname=arse?password=elbow?channel=channel_name?channelpassword=password
-
Right, what i have is:
"C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2\TeamSpeak.exe" games3.iol.ie:8787/nickname=Chunks?channel=Private?channelpassword=**password here**"
and it works perfunctly for me.

Just for the people that register with the server, chunks.
There's an extra name and pw.
-
Nice one chunks---That works 100% for me aswell.I had "The Irish Guard" in as the channel.
