Serious gaming withdrawl here (Xbox just doesn't cut it)You don't really see "serious gaming" and "xbox" on the same line anymore, do you? :P When do you get the new rig?
I try looking online, but I end up just getting stressed out and quitting. Don't have the patience for this PC / component research and buying anymore.Fill in the below, and post it here (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=842)
1. What is your budget?
2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?
3. Do you need a copy of Windows?
4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
5. Do you need a monitor?
6. Do you need any of these peripherals?
7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
8. How can you pay?
9. When are you purchasing?
Hey Rob, sort us a PC there, good lad.
Yea, filled that out a couple of weeks back. Got one reply! I might just look at lunchtime today and buy the first thing I see :P Fed up with the whole thing now.Hey Jim, what did you not like about marco_polo's build?
and all these years fairy you've been telling me your the boss man! :|Fairy is the defacto boss of the clan :salute: :P
So got all my bits together. PC and new monitor for ?1080 on hardwareersand. Grand. Go to buy it and they only accept paypal or bank transfer wttfffffffffThey list the option of CreditCard now... https://lb.hardwareversand.de/helppayment.jsp
Yea, did online transfer in the end. Was reluctant due to security but mostly because it adds an extra 3 - 5 days to the process.

You didn't order those parts did you? ah ffs, much better builds out there for that budget! Bet Rob has a build TWICE as good ready to go there!
So it seems this happened quicker than expected. Sent the transfer yesterday, 2 hours later it was received, 2 hours later they shipped. It's now set to arrive tomorrow when I'll be away at a stag. Stupid fast delivery.
Ended up spending ?1050 for PC + 24" monitor. 660ti, i5 3.40 ivy etc. Think I did well enough!
(Work is a constant lan ;) )
Powered up fine but it didn't post.
So it works! installing windows now. This motherboard doesn't post apparently. It's a non-posting motherboard. What an age we live in.I'm assuming it's because you have a gfx card plugged in? Most mobos will default to the plug-in card.
