ok guys is anyone thinking of getting black ops 2?
imo i think its actually good! and so if people are thinking of getting it let me know cos me so lonely.

i was watching my nephew playing it on the xbox last night and was actually pretty impressed with what i saw, the graphics seem to have taken a leap forward even on the xbox they're fantastic, + the game just looks fun i'm tempted to pick it up but just don't have the money atm.
and sense i don't have the money atm i'll probably pass and just play Planetside 2 instead.

na wont be picking it up unless i get left behind, the whole hype of cod has turned me off i must be a gaming hipster or sumthing. lol
as for planetside 2 i enjoyed that never really got the verdict from tig members during the beta did anyone like it? (dont mean to hijack ur thread yonk!)

Nah wont be getting it. Far too annoyed with current games to even give them a try. Bf42 and Dayz will keep me amused for the time being. Currently looking to see if we can have our own private hive Dayz server, not sure if the server is up to it though.

Ill be passing on it to. I'll be playing bf42, dayz for beers and gamage and Planetside 2 I realy enjoyed, its out next week so ill play it allot.
Going to try Guildwars 2 as well if Kel has a pass for me (hint hint!).
On a side note, has anyone tried torchlight 2? thinking of getting it

I was so impressed with the xbox version my son is playing i got it myself lastnight for PC.
Ive totally hated the series since COD4 but this game is easily the best effort since COD4 and maybe after i play more every bit as good.
Ive only played little over 2 hours of the multiplayer but so far its the best COD game in years.
PC versions runs on Treyarch dedicated servers,no BS of host leaving like you see on consoles with a player hosting.
BF3 was ruined by the silly suppression system they added, ffs the game was close to perfection on release.
BLOPS 2 has a tonne of game modes the best of which for me are Demolition, CTF, HardPoint and Domination.
Would love a few more TiG to get the game, i hear clans and communities will be able to rent servers in the new year?
@ Boru, GW2 was fantastic as you level up but theres fuck all to do at max lvl.

Blops 1 i hated within an hour, you guys kept playing it and wouldnt listen to me when i said its shite :P
Blops 2 ill get bored of like any game in time, doubt ill hate it at all though.

I said it the best COD since COD 4 which lets be honest wouldnt be hard.

We all tend to play games for a few weeks and then leave them and go back to them. We were playing BFV and 1942 there for the last month or so, Dayz before that and so on. Its what we do.
Funny thing is the old games are way better than the new ones. Bf42's game play blows away BF3. Take away modern games eye candy and they are pretty much bland Database front ends!

Ah here! Leave it ou! There's a value to 'living in the past', a lot of older games have arguably better gameplay than todays AAA titles which are more about repetitive tasks in order to collect a medal or ribbon or whatever the fuck.
In fairness to Battlefield 1942, which I presume you're refering to there Mister Cullington, it's newly released for free on Origin and still plays great. Also it's the game that a lot of us played first together around these parts on irish servers.
Every brand new game you play and like cully we see you proclaim it's awesomeness, which I like to see because it tips me off about a game I might like, "Oh, look, Cully's hooked on a new toy!".
BLOPS2 might be a good shooter, but I doubt it's the messiah of gaming, I couldn't judge it properly without a playthrough, but my gut is telling me I would still prefer the free to play Tribes:Ascend... than again, I do love Tribes.
In conclusion, you are both wrong and should join me in a game of Tribes later.... where was I going with this?

I hate Tribes, but will spend my time crafting our own Dayz Server to be used for Dayz Survival events. Theres a Fugitive event organised by Laviski this evening, 3 players have to survive with 15 to 20 players chasing them down etc.

Well in theory there should be a server up and running, however I have no idea if its working till I get home. It will be a private hive, ie DB will be on Ph33r. Nothing to stop us splitting into 2 factions and playing a long running campaign over a few weeks, might be a laugh!

GTA 5 looks sweet alright. Def will be getting that.
I'm also playing borderlands 2 and still haven't got around to mass effect 3 so that will be next

its very different to the other ones and gameplay is quite different to the previous ones. its addictive too. why do many TIGs have a hate for cod games lol.
At the end of the day lads, we all should play a good FPS game and start playing competively with other clans. I miss the days even playing CODMW2/BLOPS 1 and just raping people on servers as a clan. And I think BLOPS2 could be a good start back! . . . one can only hope ^^

Stupid killstreak perks. Get a plane to kill more people when you kill 5 people. Get a missile when you kill 10 people, etc.

There is a mode called barebones where killstreaks are disabled. :)

Clearly not. Let me check, you used to kill a string of other players and you got a killstreak. Now you complete a string of scores and you get an scorestreak?

Kill streaks have been replaced by score streaks, hinted at in the multiplayer teaser trailer released last week. In the game, killing enemy players and performing 'Scoring Events' gains you points that fill up the 'Score Streak Meter', displayed on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen next to the score streak icons. When the meter fills up, you gain access to a score streak, which you can activate in the traditional way (using the d-pad on the Xbox controller). Currently, there are 22 score streaks in the game.

First i knew about kills giving you rewards, i went 17-4 the other day and didnt get a single reward.
Even so its great to see objectives giving more points.
The game is a bit of a laugh nothing more nothing less.
Having said that give me DOD or DODS anyday before it for infantry based fps gameplay.

If yous can get hands on a demo I'd highly recommend you try! you'd be surprised.
Would love to get back to a good few search and destroy matches with clan members.

Stalker; get ARMA2 and play the TiG Wastelands server. It's unreal how much fun it is, and the games goes on for hours :D

Nah dont play that often mate ,playing BF3 and Planetside 2 more than anything else.
Aftermatch has made BF3 fun again and PS2 on a good machine is great.
I must get into wasteland, sounds great.
