gfx card upgrade
« on: April 03, 2015, 01:55:51 AM »
With GTA 5 coming out and a few other games such as far cry 4 and watchdogs that i have but can't actually play on a account of my GTX 280 not being direct X 11 its time for an upgrade

Have narrowed it down to these two cards. Just trying to figure out which one i should get and if there is much of a difference.

The EVGA card seems to have a large number of different versions. This one seemed to be the ones listed in most reviews

both are very good tbh supa, they have pretty much the same clock speeds have great coolers and are from great vendors with good warranty etc.

there really isn't much of a difference in them apart from a slightly higher core/boost clock speed on the gigabyte, there is a slightly dearer version of the evga there for $339 called the SSClk 2.0+ and its faster that the Gigabyte.

oh ya i didn't notice that one. Literally like $2 more. I reckon i'll go with the EVGA one alright. It's expensive but sure I'm not going to be getting another for a good few years!
