Need bita help here.
I've been getting random stalls for a good while now.
I got one tonight and lost alot of photoshop work
(#!/~$%).
I thought it was a normal crash and tried to reset the pc and start again. Only to find the pc wouldnt boot at all, I tried it 10 times turned it off at the wall and waited few minutes etc that didnt work the screen didnt even come out of sleep and the bios didnt seem to run.
So i pulled out the cmos battery and moved the cmos pin from position 1 to 2 and reset it back and the pc booted fine after i done that.
will a low cmos battery cause crashes when in windows? I understand it affecting the system on start up but i dont think it would cause crashes after I log into windows.
Ive a new hard drive with fresh copy of windows installed.
and ive removed sticks of ram one by one (both have stalled on me but i think ones does it less than the other)
anyhelp would be great cuz i dnt have a feckn clue other than to buy a new system even though it could be very simple like a battery.
