Gaming Feed News / Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s campaign is linear yet freeform, complex yet accessible
« Last post by [TiG]Betty on September 04, 2019, 08:09:34 PM »Cruising along a narrow cliff-top track on a dirt bike, a mission marker on the map is fading to a distant memory. Now is the time to rendezvous with a clique of rebels at their hideout. At least, that’s what Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s story says.
But a glimpse of a seemingly inaccessible cave entrance has proved a little too alluring. After a few moments of gently edging down the rock face, the bike touches down outside the cavern. A warm yellow light emanates from within. I enter, to find a wealth of loot stashed away in crates. For a moment, its feels a little like a Zelda game. And then the tap on the shoulder comes.
A Ubisoft rep at the Breakpoint preview event offers a friendly reminder: “The mission goal is further up the mountain.†This kind of thing will become a pattern as I play the campaign of the forthcoming entry in the Ghost Recon series. Setting off towards a mission checkpoint so often leads to spiraling distraction.

Gaming Feed News / Here’s how to watch tonight’s Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay stream
« Last post by [TiG]Betty on September 01, 2019, 07:12:20 PM »A few months ago, CD Projekt Red announced that it would show Cyberpunk 2077’s full E3 2019 gameplay demo to the world at PAX West (which is now just a week away). Plans have now changed, but you’re still going to get to see new gameplay footage tonight - just a bit less of it than we were expecting.
The Cyberpunk 2077 stream will start on Friday, August 30 at 11:00 PDT / 13:00 EDT / 19:00 BST on Twitch and Mixer. It will feature 15 minutes of footage based on the demo currently being showcased at Gamescom, and the video will be followed up with developer insights on Nicht City’s Pacifica district and the various playstyles you’ll be able to adopt in the game.
The PAX leg of that massive Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay contest will still be going as planned, but the developers themselves will not be at the show this year. “There are many logistical (and some creative) reasons behind this decision,†the studio says in the announcement, “but the most important thing we want to say is that we’re sorry for the change of plans. We know that many of you waited to meet us face to face in Seattle and it bums us out that we won’t be able to see each other there.â€

Gaming Feed News / Blizzard Explains Why Medium Population Classic Servers Have Login Queues
« Last post by [TiG]Betty on August 29, 2019, 03:37:21 PM »Players on medium population realms have been experiencing login queues, as we've been covering in our NA/OC and EU reports, updated regularly.
Game Director Ion Hazzikostas explained why the medium population realms still have queues; the algorithm pulls rankings dynamically, relative to other realms--but when Full realms have extreme queues, that means realms with better queues will be marked as Medium.

Gaming Feed News / Fortnite Claptrap’s eye: where to find Claptrap’s eye and return it to him in Fortnite Pandora
« Last post by [TiG]Betty on August 29, 2019, 03:37:21 PM »Wondering where in Fortnite to find Claptrap’s eye and how to return it to the pesky robot? If you’re still upset that Borderlands 3 is exclusive to the Epic Games store then the new Fortnite X Mayhem event isn’t likely to sit well with you. The latest promotional event for Epic’s battle royale adds a new area to the map that’s all themed around Pandora, the planet from the first two Borderlands games. The event bundles in a new skin and a set of Fortnite Borderlands challenges for players to complete in order to unlock XP or cosmetic rewards. These challenges, unlike the Fortnite missions list, are only live for a couple of weeks, so complete them sooner rather than later.
One of the most curious challenges in the set involves tracking down one of Claptrap’s eyes, finding Claptrap, and placing the eye back in its socket. Naturally, there are two parts to this challenge: finding the eye is part one and giving it back to Claptrap is part two. You don’t need to complete the whole challenge in one game in order to complete the challenge, so if you are eliminated after picking up the eye you just need to visit Claptrap in your next game to complete the challenge.
So, where can you find Claptrap’s eye and return it to him in Fortnite? Stick with us and we’ll show you exactly where to go.

Gaming Feed News / League of Legends Eternals get cheaper following player backlash
« Last post by [TiG]Betty on August 26, 2019, 01:39:01 PM »Riot recently announced the addition of Eternals to League of Legends - a set of purchasable cosmetics that basically serve as achievements and stat trackers. Fans weren’t happy about the planned rollout. Some felt the 850 RP asking price per set was too much, while others took umbrage at the idea of selling stat trackers at all. Either way, Riot has today announced some changes.
Eternals will now be divided into two set types, and both will be cheaper than originally announced. Common sets will be 225 RP (or available in the Essence Emporium twice a year for 3500 BE) and will have broad trackers that work across every champion, like kills and objects. Unique sets will be 590 RP, and offer champion-specific Eternals.
Either way, sets will give you three Eternals, each of which offers a gameplay milestone to track. You’ll see numbers go higher with in-game notifications when you cross certain thresholds in appropriate statistics.
